"I have been doing some form of physical training all my life whether that was dance, boxing, running, circuits etc. However last year I suffered with a shoulder injury and very sore achilles so was restricted to simple workouts on the cardio machines in the gym. Even though I went from rowing to running machine, stepper to cross trainer I was bored stiff and felt I had reached a plateau. I was also due to visit Cape Town and wished to lose those stubborn pounds. I had seen Emma working with people in the gym and really liked her style so decided to sign up for a couple of personal training sessions. Well, I loved it. Emma listened to what I was doing (and didn't criticise for measuring workouts in calories rather than kms or speed). She gauged I was pretty fit so got me sprinting to give my metabolism a boost. We went through some routines, sometimes boxing and skipping, and using the kettle balls. Emma explained that I didn't have to do long workouts but with the good techniques that she encouraged I could be just as effective. I felt really motivated and so enjoyed our sessions.
